TOURISM GRANT APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE” MERRILL, WI – Tourism grant applications for organizations sponsoring large events in the Merrill area now available. Applications can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office located at 705 North Center Avenue or can be downloaded from their website. Application
Each year the Merrill Tourism Commission reviews applications from local organizations seeking funds to aid in their marketing and advertising of tourism related event taking place in the Merrill area. Grant assistance must be used to attract visitors from outside our local area with the purpose to promote tourism and create paid overnight stays in local lodging establishments.
Only completed applications will be reviewed by the commission. All applications must include all required attachments. Applications must be returned to the Chamber of Commerce by the deadline. Deadline for submission is April 13. Organizations selected to receive funding for the 2012-13 cycle will be notified by May 1. The commission reserves the right to deny or modified requests. “UPDATE ON CHAMBER FOUNDATION TORNADO RELIEF FUND”
MERRILL, WI -- The Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Long-Term Relief Committee (LTRC) is still accepting applications from families in need of assistance stemming from the April 10 tornado. The foundation’s Tornado Relief Fund was established to address long-term and unmet needs for businesses and families that have been affected by the storm. The Chamber Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 and administers many community funds for Merrill including the Hanging Flower Basket Fund, Courthouse Holiday Lighting Fund and the Friends of Normal Park Fund. |
